"The treatment of Mental Health Patients in your Trust"

About: Coventry And Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust / Adult mental health

(as a carer),

Patient A arrives on ward in the evening and is left in a locked anteroom until well into the night when a doctor is available to see the patient. Patient has still not seen a doctor for an assessment or care/treatment plan in over six days since admission.

The named nurse has not spoken to the patient at all despite asking for him to be available to answer questions.

Patient asks for pain killers for a mouth abscess , is examined by a doctor who states the patient will be taken to dentist at the start of the week. This doesn't happen.

Carer is told patient will be seen by consultant at the start of the week. This doesn't happen.

Notice on ward states escorted smoking break every hour. This only happens 4 times a day.
