I came to the hospital for a minor operation in Day Surgery. From the moment I arrived I was treated with care and, surprisingly, speed. The whole process ran smoothly and despite some issues with the heating system in the ward, I was given a radiator to keep me warm. The nurse regularly checked on my needs and kept me updated. Within minutes I saw both the Anaesthetist and Surgeon who both explained what would be happening. The operation appeared to go according to plan but I was in a great deal of pain when I came round. I was immediately given pain relief and was checked on every few minutes until my pain subsided. I couldn't have been given any better care. My pain was managed well enough that I was able to go home the same evening. Thank you to the whole team especially the nurse who gets 10/10 for her service. The NHS is the best medical service around.
