"Hospital Parking - Unhappy"

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

Anything else?

I had an appointment at 11.30 AM. Parked just before 11.00, was not seen till 1.10-15 PM. By the time i came to car park [ Parking fee was £6.0 ] I went to see reception they directed me to security where i was told - one may have to Wait up-to 4 hours to be seen therefore nothing can be done. I feel this to be unfair Sutton & St. Helier hospitals Parking : you are required to pay for only 1-0 hour, if there is any delay - extra money paid is reimbursed. I am a retired Ophthalmic Surgeon. I do realize the monetary problem faced by NHS Hospitals. I am not against parking fee but patients must not have to wait more than one hour to be seen [or parking fee must be reduced accordingly]. Parking Fee must not be a source of income to hospital.
