Anything else?
4/45am Monday 11Nov 2013 .... Woken up with chest pain sit on the edge of my bed and hope it will just go away mmmm but it gets worse call to my sleeping daughter and tell her i think i'm having a heart attack ! can hear her feet running to the phone 999 they say help will be on its way 25 mins later(yes they were sent from another county) they arrive. Like all the front line staff i met today they were amazing caring and supportive e.c.g pain relief everything explained and then dash to Royal Berks and A/E again staff were amazing people very professional doing a job (taking blood pain relief injecting blood thinning drugs etc) Then to the cardiology ward o.m.g they save the best till last even with a chest pain not even morphine could subdue these super healthcare ward staff shine out above bad comments and abuse they work long shifts and never seem to stand still and still manage a smile ! later that day I underwent emergency cardiac catheterisation and percutaneous coronary intervention... had two stents fitted in the arteries feeding blood to my heart in my language. This was performed by a true professional consultant cardiologistant who i can never thank enough and hope he is paid at least ten times more than the footballers of today ))) Tues 12th Another night and day of professional care in the cardio ward, doctors and nurses i can't praise enough ( if your having a heart attack this is the place to come ha ha ha ) Wed13th All ok so 11am get the green light to go home today. Now the bad bit the Discharge letter and medicines to take home mmmm i'm not going to be rude but if you need my five year old grandson to help you arrange things so as patients who have just had my last couple of days are not made to sit and wait five and a half hours before their daughter can take them home i'm sure he could help.! Thank you to all the "medical staff" and to anyone who wakes up on a monday morning in Reading with a heart attack you will be in the best hands possible. Thank you.
