"Long standing Gyno problems"

Came into Euxton Hall for a hysterectomy after long standing problems. A hysterectomy was decided on after several other treatments had not solved the problems . The hospital is clean, comfortable, good food, nice rooms and friendly staff. Operation went well but during my time in there I did have to press my buzzer a few times to get assistance as staff were very busy. I was disappointed with my discharge as I did not see the Dr before I left, I was just given an appt for 7 weeks ahead and sent home with pain killers. My scar got infected twice, I received no follow up phone call to see if I was ok after coming home and it turned out after 5 weeks a stitch had been left in by the hospital which appeared to be what was causing the infection. I am back for follow up in 2 weeks . Always been happy with me treatment by the Consultant and he has helped me alot where other DRs have been unable to. I just feel I should have seen him before discharge and that staff should have checked if I was ok. i have had to attend my local clinic twice a week for dressings changed due to the infections and have had to pay for my own dressings.
