At 17.30 this evening I attended Beverley Hospital with a leg injury after having an accident with an angle grinder. 2 people in attendance on the reception one of which was man I explained my problem to him to which he replied that the unit closes at 1700 but he said someone would be in attendance at 1800hrs so I waited because I needed a medical appraisal of my injury. when he finally came back he told me the nearest unit was Bransholme they could not be bothered to either look at my injury or enquire if I had any transport to cover the 10 miles to Bransholme I was under the opinion they just wanted me to leave I asked the man what was the purpose of the Hospital at night he replied that the minor injuries unit closes at 1700 hrs my second question must be without examination how can it be concluded it is a minor injury. 2 people in attendance on reception to inform me they could or would not help countless cleaning staff and porters wondering about but no medical help. 21 century England no compassion no care just a waste of tax payers money employing the multitude helping no one.
