Anything else?
I severely scalded my arm. The evening I did it I didn't realise it was too bad but by the following morning realised I needed someone to look at it. I was seen promptly and had it dressed. I had to go back every other day to have the dressings changed and the progress of the burn examined over a month. The staff were lovely. I have ME, I also don't drive. If I'd had to travel I would not have been able to receive regular treatment, my energy levels would not have allowed it and I would not have been able to afford public transport for so many visits. Without the treatment I received I suspect the scarring (now fading nicely) would have been a lot worse. Other family members have also had to use the MIU in the last year. It is an essential part of our community, particularly for those who don't drive, the elderly and mother's of young children.
"Scarring fading nicely, thank you."
