We can only apologise for not responding to your email. Details of the Blue Badge holders scheme have been included below for your information. A new scheme which enables Blue Badge holders to pre-register their car registration numbers to receive additional parking time when visiting all Trust sites has been introduced. The new concessionary rate will provide those with limited mobility and their carers an extra half an hour free of charge to access the hospital sites and return to their vehicles. The scheme will be recognised on all our sites at Burton, Tamworth and Lichfield The new system will run for a trial period of three months when it will be reviewed by the user group to ensure it is working effectively. The qualifying criteria is: • Are you a disabled person? • Do you have significant mobility issues? • Does you mobility mean it takes you longer to get to and from your car to your appointment? If you’ve answered yes to any of the questions above, please contact us on 01283 511511 extension 5359 to discuss how the Trust can support you with your visit. I have also included a link to our website which explains our new automatic number plate recognition system.http://www.burtonhospitals.nhs.uk/news/new-car-parking-payment-system-introduced.htm If you can please advise via communications@burtonft.nhs.uk which email address you sent your enquiry to originally we can look why your original email was not responded to. If you would like to make a formal complaint please contact our Patient Advice Liaison Service – PALS by email pals@burtonft.nhs.uk or telephone 01283 593110 Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for not responding to your initial email.
