"A&E and Victor Bonney Ward"

About: Hammersmith Hospital

Anything else?

I am 18 weeks pregnant and had been suffering from a nasty bout of food poisoning. First I went to A&E and was treated brilliantly by the staff there. A nurse and doctor from the OB Gynae unit was very concerned and checked on me and my baby several times. After about 4 hrs in A&E I was admitted to Victor Bonney ward. The o/n nurse was not very nice or helpful, she begrudgingly helped me find the button to raise/lower my bed and despite having not slept all night she refused to switch the light off because she had too much to do. Luckily an hour later she was replaced by the most wonderful person. Nothing was too much of a problem, she was kind, helpful and caring. I saw three doctors while on the ward and all assured me my baby would be fine. The quality of the food was OK, the ward and toilet facilities were very clean. And the four person wards were nice and quiet so I could rest. I would recommend it to everyone.
