My son became ill and collapsed in a cafe. We called 111 as I wanted to take him to the nearest walk in centre and we didn't know the area. 111 decided to send an ambulance to us. It took quite a long time to arrive, it would provably have been quicker to drive him but when it did the staff were very efficient and calm and caring.
