Admitted to hospital - 5pm
Tested for possible appendicitis - 5:30pm
Given a bed on the ward - 8pm
Told that they have found a urinary infection - 9:30pm
Given medication - 9:45pm
Woken up, looked at and advised going for a scan 9am
Scan - 3pm
Between the 9am and 3pm daughter was told to drink plenty and that a scan would be done asap. Time went on and she really badly needed the toilet however was told no, due to scan being done soon.
2pm, was told the man was on his way to get her.
3pm, was told if you want to be seen for the scan you will have to walk it there or wait after another 20 other people to be seen before they collect you. Meanwhile I, mom was outside with another 8 people that had been waiting in pain for the same scan since 9am the same morning, but they had not slept over. One man was told - your doctor here should not have booked you in as the scan machine were not working up until lunch time? Really?
Can't really understand if a person has a water infection, that is bad enough for them to come in and stay, then why have to hold onto that for over 5 hours, then have to walk, in pain, with a full bladder to the scan room which is upstairs too!
