(as the patient),

I have used the NHS24 (Scottish) service a lot since being diagnosed with severe asthma and severe allergies. The staff are amazing and always make sure I get the care I need.

Sometimes they'll say they think I need an ambulance and even though at the time I don't think I need one by the time the ambulance gets there I do need them. They're always extremely reassuring and have never failed to help me out. They always prioritise my call if it's important and get me to speak to a nurse. If an appointment is needed at out of hours they get me one at the Roodlands hospital in Haddington which is further away from my house the the Royal infirmary of Edinburgh so on request they go back and try to change it.

The call handlers and nurses/doctors really are life savers and need more credit for the work they do.
