"maternity unit"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

I have just left a review for King George hospital and it made me realise I should have done the same for the maternity unit at Queens. My daughter had her 3 yr old son in the birthing unit in August 2010 and her 23 month old daughter in the car park/triage at Queens. I know there are some bad review online, but I can only say as I find, and if there were such a number I would give it 600% each time. There isn't a number high enough really. each midwife she had was absolutely excellent, and she had several. The room was very spacious. We were kept informed all the way along about what was happening. Her husband and I were not made to feel in the way at all. When after her first delivery they hit the red triangle, seven doctors were in the room within seconds. I would recommend the unit to anyone. on the minus side the ward staff afterwards wouldn't get her vote, but small price to pay for such absolutely fabulous treatment and care during the birth.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write about your daughter’s positive experiences in maternity. I’m pleased to hear on both occasions, even with giving birth in car park / triage, that the service you and your daughter received was excellent. I will pass on your comments to our staff. Yours sincerely, Flo Panel-Coates Director of Nursing
