"Friday night in Kings A & E"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

Anything else?

We attending Kings A and E on Friday night. My husband had a bizarre accident (fell off a bus) and required an ambulance to get him to hospital as we thought it had broken both ankles. The ambulance crew, the Nurse, the DR, the X ray team and the security team (who helped me call a cab) were fabulous. Quick assessment, great communication and all with cheery smiles and humour. We were home within 3 hours of arriving. Thank you to all who looked after us so well. (The porter seems a bit of out sorts - he looked very fed up and was they only member of the team who didn't seem to be a team player)

Thank you for your positive comments about the entire team within the Emergency Department and the care and support they provided, with the exception of the porter. We will feed your observations back which are extremely helpful. Regards, Cathy Varley, Patient Advice and Liaison and Support Services Manager cathy.varley@nhs.net
