"Two week stay"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

Anything else?

I was taken in under two's and blues after collapsing at home and ended up spending two weeks as an in patient. I have now the greatest respect for the nursing staff that attended and looked after me. There are some issues that need to be addressed, such as the heating being constantly ion, resulting in some discomfort during warmer days nod nights, but I found the wards I was in generally comfortable. The staff are very attentive, but obviously easily diverted if things need doing that require a wait for less urgent requests. The food is adequate, but my gripe is that some of the packaging (cheese, marmalade etc) are very hard to open, particularly if you are infirm. But they do a good job and the food ordering process is very good and food always turned up on time. I use e-cigarettes and this did not cause an issue and seemed to be encouraged. This is. Good policy. If I ever have to spend time in hospital again then I would be happy if it were in RSCH.
