"Visit to minor injuries department"

About: Newark Hospital

Anything else?

The male nurse that conducted the initial assessment was rude and abrupt and made us feel as if we were bothering him needlessly I think we interrupted his sweet eating and chatting with other members of staff. Both myself and my daughter who was in agonising pain felt very upset by his attitude towards us. The doctor who then saw us was wonderful and prescribed my daughter the correct medication and explained fully what he was doing. This occurred on Friday 8th November at approx 8.45 pm and has left us both upset and angry because of the attitude of one member of staff who advised us time and time again that we shouldn't be there and should seek the advice of a pharmasist and that we should get medication from them the doctor however prescribed antibiotics and strong pain killers that you would not be able to buy over the counter his words not mine. I don't think that the male member of staff should be advising on medication he should leave it to the doctor . I would like a response from you and ultimately an apology from the male nurse on duty. As your signs say bad behaviour will not be tolerated, well that works both ways.
