Having been in hospital as a private patient for a week the level of professional and personal care was extremely disappointing. I was allocated a private nurse to look after me I saw her for one day and never saw her again. I felt extremely overlooked as a private patient in a predominantly NHS hospital. The special arrangements in practice meant that I often didn't receive meals, drinks etc in a timely fashion. The food was not fresh and was another disappointment. I was very surprised that the chef wasn't allowed to fry an egg!
"General care on the ward was lacking."
