"An unexpectedly pleasant surprise"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Anything else?

Over the years having heard lurid stories of the standard of treatment at Medway I was not looking forward to a small operation to remove a bone in my foot and to be fitted with an ICD device. The ICD insertion was simple, pain and stress free. The bone removal entailed a week stay in Victory ward which was pleasant with caring staff. There is always the odd glitch but everything was handled in a professional way. For over two years I have treated for a Charcot foot problem which has entailed many visits to the plaster room and more recently to orthotics and podiatry. The treatment in each one of these has been superb with friendly caring people. My treatment has been over a period of Nov 2011 to date

It is really good to hear that you had a pleasant stay on Victory ward and that you felt the staff were caring and professional. I am also very pleased that you feel care offered by other departments has been superb. Your comments are very much appreciated and I will ensure they reach the relevant teams. Thank you for your positive feedback and I wish you all the best in your ongoing care. Carla Russell, Victory Ward Manager
