"Laparoscopy_Feedback on the services"

About: Woodlands

Anything else?

Recently I had a laparoscopy procedure at Queen Mary Hospital, Sidcup. I rarely leave feedback for services however I believe that this one is a very well deserved one. The ward I was kept during the preliminary tests and assessment was an extremely clean and nice environment with staff being very attentive, polite and helpful. The doctor who would perform the laparoscopy came to talk to me before (and after the procedure inform me of the result of the procedure) to explain to me what to expect in detail. I was then taken to the anesthesia room were I was very politely treated and put to sleep. Following the procedure I was kept in a large area with other patients waiting to recover from the anesthesia and each one of us had a nurse responsible for us standing by to make sure that we would wake up ok and ensure all is fine. The toilet facilities (I visited three different ones during my time there) were very clean and there were literally everywhere antibacterial hand gels to make sure doctors, nurses and patients had access to easily. I have been very impressed with this experience which I somewhat dreaded to be honest. It felt almost as if I was treated in a private hospital. I just want to pass my deep appreciation and thank you to all staff who work in that hospital for their hard work for delivering such excellent service and making such a bid difference to my day as a patient there, a day which admittedly one is at their most vulnerable.
