Thank you for posting your opinion regarding the food and staff shortages on seacole ward.

Regarding there not being enough staff, there is an agreed complement of staff allocated on a daily basis to cover the early, afternoon and night shift. The ward manager has reviewed the staff resources for the past three weeks and future rotas and has given assurances that the full staff complement is being maintained.

The ward manager will raise your concern in the patient community meeting to offer an understanding of how staff are allocated duties to meet the needs of all patients on the ward.

Regarding your comments on there always being chips on the menu- The kitchen offers a three weekly menu which evidences that there is a selection of dishes available which includes chips, selection of potato dishes and salads. The ward manager will pass on your comment to the hotel services manager and invite them to discuss the menu options with you all at a community meeting.

Thank you
