In October 2013 I had to unfortunately spend time in the Coronary Care Unit at Queens Hospital, Romford for a mild heart attack and Atrial Fibrillation. Fortunately, my experience of care and treatment there was extremely good. The standard of care and treatment was of a very high standard. The sisters and nurses on duty there and their treatment of the patients really stands out in my mind. Whilst maintaining their professionalism, they provided great patient care whilst keeping patients spirits up with a fab sense of humor. The cleanliness on the ward is worth a mention also. The cleaners and inspectors were seen on a daily basis doing a very thorough job. Almost goes without needing to be said, the consultants and doctors were also very professional, of a high standard and very approachable. The food was also of a good standard and the staff were helpful. Everyone from the staff taking the blood tests to the ambulance staff transferring me to the London Heart Hospital deserve a mention for a job well done. All in all they made my stay there as pleasant as possible, and that's from someone that would avoid hospitals at all costs if possible.
