"Fantastic care on MAU2"

I was admitted to MAU2 for investigations into my chest pain.

The staff on this ward worked tirelessly. I mean they were physically almost running to get things done. But they ALL did it with a smile on their faces. The range of patients admitted onto that ward was massive and many of the patients were more than troublesome to the nurses but they all handled themselves in a firm, caring and compassionate manner. I think that because of the type of patient on that ward, the nurses have to be quite firm at times otherwise these patients walk all over people.

I witnessed an emergency in the bay where I was and the nurses handled it so well that I knew I was in great hands.

A special young male sister works on that ward. When he was on shift, the morale was even better than at other times and all patients felt well looked after.

In my opinion this ward urgently NEEDS more nurses though and this would make them even better.
