As with the most recent review, I would have to agree that my experience was also terrible. After spending 20 minutes with my first doctor (in May) discussing possible treatments, and being told to follow a course of antibiotics which she would review after 2 months, I returned for a second appointment only to be presented with a new doctor who didn't have any of my notes (making my previous appointment redundant). From this appointment, I was sent away and told to follow up with my GP, who consequently said that only the hospital deal with these things. Frustrated, I managed to get a follow up appointment with the second doctor, who was adamant he never would have said such a thing and if I didn't trust him as a professional I should request another doctor. As his attitude made me extremely uncomfortable, I decided this would be the best course of action, and proceeded through PALS. It is now the start of November, I am still awaiting any further follow up from the doctor (who made 2 attempts to call me in the last 3 months, without leaving any return contact details) and am no clearer on whether I am due for an operation or not. Nearly 6 months on I feel this really is unacceptable, and hope that noone else has to suffer such terrible service.
