"There was a nurse on the medical ..."

About: Wansbeck Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

There was a nurse on the medical admissions ward. I don't know her name but she was very kind and even had me laughing on the way to the operating theatre. I was on ward 4 after and two nurses there were also very helpful. Also the catering staff. A big thank you to everyone who helped me.

What could be improved

The attitude of some of the patients!!! The poor nurses are trying to help patients and some of the people were very rude to them. They deserve medals for putting up with that.

Dear Lynne,

As nurses we try to maintain a professional manner at all times despite being faced with sometimes difficult situations and personalities. We try and lead by example and maintain a good customer focus, treating everyone with dignity and respect, being polite and gracious and hope that we are treated in the same way. It is unfortunate that this is not always reciprocated but the thanks and praise we receive far outweighs the negative attitude of the minority, so thank you very much for your kind comments.
