"Very good experience of Accident and Emergency"

About: Horton General Hospital

Anything else?

Although My father and I didn't enjoy the 3 and 1/2 hour wait to see a doctor, the triage nurse and the doctor and additional nursing staff we saw were brilliant. They listened and went beyond their remit of treating the initial presentation injury and looked at what had caused the accident to occur which was a far more sinister issue and something which my father's GP was not taking notice of. Halloween was a very busy night for them, but once they diagnosed my father's serious illness they treated us with respect, dignity and could not have done more to make sure we were comfortable and looked after until he was admitted. Thank you from a father and grown up daughter who are relieved to have a correct diagnosis.

Thank you for your comments regarding the recent visit of yourself and your father to the A&E Department at the Horton General Hospital. I was very pleased to hear that, although you had to wait some time, your father was treated well and a diagnosis was reached. Should you have any further comments or concerns and would like to contact us directly, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Sue McNiven on 01295 224001 or by email at palshh@ouh.nhs.uk.
