"Admitted with Appendicitis"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Anything else?

I was told by my GP to go straight to RBH due to the pain I was having. I arrived at Urgent Care on tues 30th at 5.45pm, was admitted onto the ward by 8pm, listed for the operation by 9.30pm for the following morning. I went down to theatre for laparoscopy and appendectomy at about dinner time weds 31st and was on recovery by 2pm. I then spent the last hours on day surgery unit and was discharged at 8pm. I have never been in hospital before or had anything done. I was amazed at how quickly I was treated. All the staff that looked after me were lovely and made my stay welcoming. Everything was explained to me from start to finish. I cant fault RBH on anything, my experience was excellent.
