I was referred to the breast unit with a small swelling in my breast. I was seen promptly by the consultant who could find nothing amiss on her manual examination. To be sure, however I was given a mammogram , where the radiographer felt the swelling. She talked to another consultant who then gave me an ultra sound examination on my breast. Fortunately nothing nasty was found. I was impressed with the fact that these tests were quickly done, with minimal wait and with the courtesy and openness of all the staff. Thank you NHS!
