Anything else?
My father was treated as an out patient here for some months, and then spent the last couple of days of his life here before passing away. At all times he was treated with dignity and respect, and we his family similarly. The medical staff at all levels involved us in his care at an appropriate level, and the whole hospital was/is scrupulously clean. If I may make one observation, the purpose of NCH is to serve the North Cotswolds community. It would be helpful if the regional NHS could drive this message home to consultants and other care managers in the regional "centres", Cheltenham and Gloucester. Too often, patients are expected to travel an hour or more each way to these places for simple procedures that can be carried out locally. A little thought would prevent this - why on earth travel to Gloucester for an X-ray when NCH has an X-ray machine? Is it really necessary to go to Cheltenham for a pre-op MSRA swab?! PS Why did the NHS and planners thing that a huge shiny roof would be a good idea in a rural setting?! PS your feedback form needs adjustment. I know which department we went to, and it wasn't the minor injuries unit. This is the only option you give, other than "don't know". Therefore my feedback there will confound your results. If anyone cares ...
