I entered Hammersmith cardiac department at the end of September 2013 after attending an assessment day a week earlier. The assessment day was quite hectic but ran like clockwork and finished with a talk on what to expect after the procedure. As for the procedure and care I received during my stay, I can only say I have the upmost respect and gratitude for all those who cared for me during my stay, from the surgical team through to the cleaners and people bringing our food and beverages. I would like to give a special thanks to the staff and nurses in the high dependency section who were outstanding. Many thanks to all those who treated and cared for me.
