From my Surgeon down to the cleaner, I could not fault the staff for their dedication, care & hard work. I had an overnite stay on ward 16 & nothing was too much trouble & served with a smile. However there were staffing issues,on one shift there were too many staff & on another it appeared just 2-3 to cover 2 wards which put enormous pressure on the couple of people working. Because the ward had to be re-opened (after recent renovation) on the night of my hospital stay, food had not been ordered for the following day & what was offered was either insufficient or cold. So what I am saying here is the important issues regarding my stay were excellent, good care, treatment, cleanliness etc, but I feel some work needs doing to effectively manage the staff shifts.
