Anything else?
On Saturday 26th October, I took my 90 year old mother to A&E at Good Hope. She had fallen in her bedroom earlier in the week, and had been seen by her GP who said that no bones were broken. However, she was in considerable pain throughout the week and so on Saturday, I decided to seek help. We waited 35 minutes before being seen by a consultant, who arranged an x-Ray. The results of the x-Ray were inconclusive, so a CT scan was arranged. Whilst waiting for the scan, an ECG was performed, her blood pressure and temperature were taken and blood tests were done. My mother was treated with such care and dignity, I was overwhelmed by our experience. It transpired that she had broken seven ribs and the fall had caused a hernia and although there is no treatment for her injuries, we are so grateful for the wonderful professional care which she received from the doctor and his colleagues.
