Anything else?
I have just returned from being with my sister in Ward 6 and, although the reason for her visit was extremely upsetting and stressful, the staff of the hospital (medical, support, & voluntary) made a very difficult few days more bearable through their understanding, compassion and consideration of not only her needs but those of her family. Having travelled a long way from NI in what were very difficult circumstances, it was such a relief to witness her being treated so promptly by helpful and friendly staff in all the departments she attended . . . the staff were a credit to the NHS. I special thank you to the PALS department (and those at the Hammersmith hospital where we had accommodation) for helping us find somewhere to sleep with such little fuss and for “making it happen” as if by magic! Although more treatment is planned for my sister in the near future, she will be returning with full confidence that, although she is ill, she will be well cared for and supported with a smile.
"What a fantastic place!"
