"Excellent nurses and practitioners at Sunderland Royal Hospital Children's ward"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as a parent/guardian),

My little boy, aged 4 had an adenoid tonsillectomy yesterday on Ward F64 and every single professional we came into contact with from Anaesthetist to Nurse practitioner were outstanding. The care he received was second to none and there was no job too much hassle for the nurses who were there from 8am when we arrived to 6pm when we were discharged and beyond.

Particular mention must go to the nurses but I am delighted to say that even doctors who get a bad rep for bedside manner were caring and put all our minds at ease.

Please pass on our thanks to the staff on the ward. They do fantastic job.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We will share these with all those involved in your son's care and am sure they will appreciate the time you have taken to ensure they receive this positive feedback. It is an extremely worrying time when a child is undergoing surgery and it was pleasing to read that the efforts of the whole team led to you being put at ease. Thank you once again.
