Welcome nurse an excellent idea helps you understand why you are being sent to either see and treat or A&E. Seen within a sensible time frame even though it was a Saturday night. Treated as an individual, care and concern demonstrated despite only having a minor injury. Only two things required attention, 1 the condition of the cubicle curtains, mine had stains along the bottom. 2 No same sex accommodation in A&E is understandable and practical however more care could be taken to ensure that if patients need to dress/undress a changing room with a close-able door is available or patients given assistance to ensure curtains remain closed. James Cook clearly have magical curtains that are self closing, sound and smell proof. I appreciate that they are easy to change and allow very busy staff to keep an eye on patients but a better solution must be available. A little job for the NHS innovations team to get inventing.
