"My bad experiences at Tameside"

About: Tameside General Hospital

Anything else?

I attended the Urology clinic at my nurses request and the Doctor said he could be treating cancer patients and not wasting his time with me. Cancer had not been mentioned till then so it came as a shock especially his rudeness and unprofessional manner. /when I complained i was told he had been moved on to his next rotation.Another occasion when admitted to Hospital with a UTI I had to carry two IV drips when using the toilet and so soiled the connector on my wrist.

I am sorry that your experience during your visit to the Urology clinic was not satisfactory. This is certainly not the standard of care we expect for our patients. It would be helpful if you could contact the Hospital PALS and give them more information so your complaint can be investigated further. Thank You John Goodenough Director of Nursing ‘’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at john.goodenough@tgh.nhs.uk
