"patient treatment is unacceptable"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

Anything else?

After having major surgery. On several occasions I was ignored and made to wait over 2hrs for pain management. My stay in hospital was so upsetting, and I especially felt for the more elder patients who couldn't make their issues be heard.I had to rely on other patients family members to help me out.Later I was told i could go home...I never saw a doctor, and was released ,waiting yet again in agony for several hours for pain medication. My stay was suppose to aid my recovery ,but I found this added to my anxiety. I spoke to the Ward Sister about theses matters, but again were told that staff were busy!? Toilets were left empty of toilet tissue for over 24 hrs ,and my bed area ,including floors and feeding tray were filthy. NHS what a joke!
