"My care"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Anything else?

I strongly feel I should like to comment on my care under my doctor. I was transferred from Hereford hospital on the 14th of October, I was seen by the doctor and his teams care was first rate, He took the time to explain each step, . The procedure took 2 hours and he explained what was happening through the procedure, For me this was very important. I am an engineer and like to be informed. After the procedure he came 3 times to check I was ok, and if I had any questions and I cant express my high regards for this consultant enough. I have had a rough ride over the last few months and was very disappointed with my care, the doctor has restored my faith in the units care. I should also like to make comment on the ward, The care was first rate. I should like to point out I had my details taken 4 or 5 times at Hereford and Worcester, I feel this is a waste of nurses time, make one 1 form that travels with the patient. Its on paper so if it has to be transcribed its no more work. Please pass these comments on to the doctor and his team. Kind regards Andrew Fresle

Dear Mr Fresle May I take this opportunity to thank you for providing feedback on your recent hospital stay. I am pleased that you were satisfied with the levels of both medical and nursing care whilst on Cardiology at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. The Cardiac department prides itself on providing a high level of patient centred care and the maintenance of these standards is very important to us. With regard to your observation on the repetition of paperwork. I apologise if this inconvenienced you in any way and we will work with the staff both here and at Hereford Hospital to look at ways in which this can be reduced. Thank you again and please accept our best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Clare Alexander (Ward manager CCU / Laurel 1)
