Initially contacted GP practice re: mothers recovery from a complexed operation. She was experiencing discomfort and pain. Following an initial telephone conversation with GP it was decided that a referral to the acute nursing team was appropriate.
A team of two nurses arrived within 1. 5 hrs for a home visit and consultation with my mother and myself as carer. They were very professional, caring and we're able to manage my mothers discomfort with appropriate pain relief that she had already been prescribed.
They offered advice and information and spent sufficient time with my mother and myself to reassure. I was really impressed with this proactive and caring team and it potentially avoided the need for my mother to see a GP or be routed through A&E...Excellent and caring service
