staff very friendly but having admitted mum for cancer op, notes finally came together and after a whole morning of questions and blood tests she was sent home, after several contradictory phone calls and letters mum received another date of op with both hers and an unknown persons name on it! even though the dept had been informed that she was too weak to be operated on. A later outpatient appointment revealed that she should have been taking cancer hormone tablets for 3 weeks but no-one had prescribed any. To end it all the dedicated cancer nurse rang mum to ask how the operation went. Departments should liaise with each other more. Mum is an elderly patient and this treatment has had a lasting effect on her.
