"We have certainly experienced the impact of East Kent's 'WE CARE' commitment."

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / Gynaecological oncology

(as a relative),

Having previously had a very aggressive form of cancer 7 years, our Mum was very nervous about the results of her Mammogram, which diagnosed a second Primary. However, since her scan in late September to her Pre-Assessment today, every member of staff she has encountered has made her feel welcome and at ease. Each step of the process has been fully explained to her, supported by Information leaflets and contact details for any follow-up questions. As a family, we cannot thank the Breast Cancer and Surgical teams enough for supporting our Mum in the lead up to surgery. Their friendliness and positivity has meant she has no concerns at all about her operation next week. We have certainly experienced the impact of East Kent's 'WE CARE' commitment.

Amazing thank you for feeding back - really has made my day! We do have some wonderful staff working really hard to demonstrate our values and behaviours in action. As you say - this is our We Care commitment to our patients and staff. Glad to hear all has gone well for you mum leading up to her surgery next week. Wishing her well for the remainder of her treatment.
