"previous renal kidney failure but blood test..."

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

Anything else?

I had renal kidney failure 5 years ago resulting in major surgery, I was diagnosed with Retroperitoneal Fibrosis, which is a life threatening condition. I was told when discharged by my consultant that if i had any problems at all, or pain that worried me I was to go to A&E and have a blood test to check my creatinine levels, I have regular blood tests yearly, I have been in pain for a couple of weeks, the symptoms have been the same as when I had renal failure, as i am very concerned by the pain i am in, I attended A&E at west middlesex hospital, to be told that I am not priority case and could not possibly have a blood test unless refered by my doctor. As I am not a time waster and have a legitimate condition you can imagine my dismay at being sent away, without putting my mind at rest, with only the offer of pain killers.
