"Very good when ringing up for prescriptions"

About: Adult community services / Nutrition and dietetics

(as a service user),

After my diagnoses I was a while before being seen in the clinic, but after that things are fine.

They're very good when ringing up for prescriptions. Good service.

Dear Lifted221, thank you for your post on Patient Opinion. We really appreciate your feedback on the Nutrition and Dietetics service and are pleased that you have found the service very good when ringing for prescriptions. We are, however, sorry to hear that you felt you had to wait a while before being seen in clinic.

To explain, when a referral is made to the Nutrition and Dietetics department, there are two possible ways for appointments to be made; an appointment may have been booked in the GP Practice, in which case you are given the first available appointment. Alternatively, the Nutrition Team may have sent you a letter with a contact number to book your appointment, which are sent out within two days of receiving your referral. This method provides the patient with four weeks to contact the department and book an appointment at a time convenient for them.

We hope this information is helpful and are pleased to hear that things have been fine since your visit.

With best wishes,

Kerry
