"Trauma ward - outstanding"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

I had the misfortune to break my arm in April and was admitted to HRI to have my arm pinned and plated. The staff on this ward were exceptional and every patient was taken care of with the utmost professionalism. The nurses were never to busy to help the elderly patients eating and drinking or just to chat to them and not one patient was neglected during my stay there. The cleaners were outstanding and quietly got on with their daily routines without any fuss and i was impressed with the way they ensured the whole ward was spic and span. Infact the poor ladies who were on duty while i was there never stopped and more impressively never moaned and were extremely proud of their work and so they should be. After my operation the nightshift were on duty and were amazing ensuring i was looked after all through the night. Afew patients were unable to sleep and the nurses were great chatting to us and not just leaving us all to try and sleep. Overall i would highly recommend this hospital for the care and service they provide and a little dissapointed to see some negative reviews. I am originally from West Yorkshire and to be honest the hospitals over there could learn a thing or two from HRI.
