"Heart attack on holiday"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Cardiology

(as other),

My husband had chest pains at 2am after we had arrived for a short break from Cheshire.

I took him to Barnstaple A&E to be told he was having a heart attack and needed to be moved to RD & E hospital. He arrived early hours and was seen immediately then transferred to the Cardiac Care Unit where the staff and care given were second to none. The treatment he received and the way that everything was dealt with could not have been better no matter how much money it cost.

We are so grateful to everyone we came in contact with and he is well on the way to recovery back at one. We cannot thank you enough.

Dear JF Cheshire,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your story and I am very pleased to hear that your husband is recovering well.

It is always so rewarding to hear that our staff at the RD&E are continuing to provide excellent care to patients, and their families, when they need it most.

I will pass on your kind comments to the staff.

Thank you

Tracy
