"Miscarriage"

About: Yeovil District Hospital

Anything else?

I have suffered two early miscarriages in the last 3/4 months, both of them through yeovil hospital. First through the A&E department then onto the womans ward. The womans ward were brilliant. However being treated by the A&E staff was a nightmare. I was very emotional both times but i am not one to go over board with showing it, the staff were cold and very clinical. The offererd no support, no leaflets, no imformation about how to deal with it. Just go home until its over or wait for you scan. I was very dissapointed in a particular doctor whom i told i wasnt keen on needles, so to be gentle, he thought it woould be funny to say "im going to stab you now" when i said "please dont say that" his reply was "well you want a baby dont you, so get used to needles" this was incredibly insensitive not only because i was afraid of needles but because i was having a miscarriage! over all i feel very let down. Both times were equally dreadful and i hope i or my family ever need to use the service again!
