Anything else?
I was admitted to day surgery under the care of the maxillofacial team and at first I was non too happy with the initial booking in procedure. Everyone arrived for 7.30am both male and female we were processed, got ready for surgery and segregated into male and female wards with reclining chairs not beds. The nurse who processed me was very nice and talked to me about the procedure and estimated time I was due to go into theatre for the operation. Turned out it was later than the estimate but I am not complaining about that. Surgery time came and I was walked to theatre by the same nurse who did her best to calm me as I was more than a little nervous. The team in the theatre were great they told me who they were and everything they were doing or we're going to do and the next thing I remember was waking up in recovery with two of the recovery team and one of the guys who had assisted who told me all had gone well. I was taken back to the ward and made comfortable, blood pressure taken etc and offered tea and a sandwich. 2hours later I was discharged and told to come back next day to clinic and given medication to take. A lot of people I have spoken to don't have a good word for Scunthorpe hospital well I would disagree, the treatment I recieved was excellent the ward was clean the people were friendly and efficient what more can I ask for?
