"A & E of no use again"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

Anything else?

After having a mirena coil fitted on m2 the care on that particular ward was excellent. altough after going to a & e (which i was advised to do so by 111) due to my coil was falling out and was cutting me inside and was in agonising pain and was bleeding heavily i was told sorry we cant look at it we will give you tramadol (bearing in mind im on my own at home with 5 young children) you will have to wait till tomorow (monday) and see your doctor. what is a & e emergency care?

Dear anonymous - I am sorry that you have clearly had a worrying experience. I am checking out what the normal process and pathway is for such a situation - however even if clinically this was the right and best decision you clearly left the department having not been reaasured of this and very worried. I will post and update soon. I hope you have now had everything sorted and all has settled. Once again my apologies.
