"not a great experience"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Anything else?

Today i had to attend an ultra sound due to long term illness, i was the only and first patient of the day (8.40 am) the clinician arrived 15 minutes late offered no apology and asked me to wait in a dressing room that had a soiled, crumpled up used roll of paper, possibly from the day before given i was the first and only one there, i asked what the hold up was because i have low platelets and wish to spend as little time in a hospital environment as possible, the helpful clinic staff said i they had no idea where the clinician was ?, when they arrived the clinician was unfriendly, unprofessional and i felt i was treated as a nuisance for being there, all given that i was their one and only patient at the time . On completion i visited the blood test center to give bloods, there the experience was not improved, the male nurse insisted in speaking in an accent and i had no clue, other than that he was surly, needed some personalabilty and was gruff and rude, he missed the vein slightly but carried on, taking over 5 minutes to take 3 samples, again i was the only patient in the whole department given the time of day , so my visit to Broadgreen Hospital this morning was far removed as to what i expected and was glad to leave.
