I spent just under 2 days in the Surgical Admissions Ward after being admitted from A+E with suspected appendicitis. I was immediately looked after well by the staff, even though it was 3am when I arrived. Everything was done to try and confirm or dismiss my diagnosis of appendicitis, and even though it turned out not to be appendicitis I was still looked after well and attempts made to discover the cause of my symptoms. Nothing was found and I was discharged. I have nothing but praise for the staff who looked after me, they were a credit to their professions. My only slight complaint was the lack of air conditioning, as the bay got incredibly warm when the sun came out, which made it uncomfortable for me and other patients.
