I severed a tendon in my left index finger and immediately went to Bournemouth A & E. Expected a long wait but was seen inside half an hour. Operation required and I was immediately dispatched to Poole Hospital for pre-op stuff. Operation carried out following morning...my anxieties re-general anaesthetic sympathetically listened to and acted upon. Operation an outstanding success...big THANK YOU to Mr Salter and his team..indeed to everyone with whom I came into contact.
Follow-up treatment well-organised, punctual, and I was listened to and kept fully informed.
Attended Bournemouth Hospital for physio and treatment has been first class. Finger is now 95 % normal and still improving...big THANK YOU to Dan Elliot.
The whole experience has been totally positive and totally contradicts the poor publicity which one reads about re-the NHS in the press.
Well done to all, from start to finish.
